RPM sensor issues and idle

Hey guys
new to the forum and just chasing some info
ive had troubles from day dot with my 98 GU patrol 2.8
issue is hunting alot through idle and when put on a blokes OBDII machine came up as code: 47 RPM sensor TDC signal side?
anybody elese had this kind of issue or anything that sounds similar?
car drives fine but at idle and through first it really hunts
any input would be hugely appreciated

No idea mate as I have a mighty ZD30, when you get a chance pop over to the intro's and tell us a bit about yourself
polite and all, You'll find you'll get a better response too. No harm done though
