Hi guys,

very nice forum and community you have here with lots of great info. Im on the cusp of buying my first patrol (a 2011 3Ltr CRD auto wagon) - very excited! Am trying to keep my head on my shoulders and be objective with the purchase, can you enlighten me on anything I should check before I buy? Its got 120,000km on it and everything looks like its in great condition. All looks straight underneath and drives well. Just wondering if theres something i might be overlooking. I havent had a diesel before either. Would you advise getting an independent mechanical check before i hand over my cabbage?

Again, great to be here.

Welcome Skiman
Hope you get a good run from your patrol
125,000 km still young
Check the discs for wear, new pads, possibly new discs,
Maybe new shocks and steering damper
Change brake fluid coolant possibly new fan belt.
Service auto box, engine oil change and all filters.
Change oil in both diffs
After that wheel alignment and drive
Good luck
Joe
