this morning I got some batteries for the car and van and the bloke I bought them from said he had a set of mtz on gu11 rims that had done a 1000 ks he said he wanted $1100 for the set of 5 but I reckon he would be good for 7 or 8 for them and he would probably deliver them in Sydney. so if your interested ill send his number to you. by the way great prices on batteries as well $520 delivered for a d34 yellow top and ac delco 97 amp.:)

The vernier reading had me curious, these tyres new have 14.4mm tread depth. I have a new spare and just measured it.

So these tyres have done about 15 - 20000 klm by my experience with the set I have.

Still probably a good buy but far from "new" with a thousand K's on them.

If they are cheap enough, OK. I have sent a message to the owner asking the manufacture date as well.

Keep you posted.

These 285 tyres on those rims will not fit my ute as they rub on the chassis when flexed, due to the narrower diff fitted to a leaf rear ute. Why I have a wider off set rim.

Spoke to the seller today.

They are about 4 years old going by the manufacture date (2511), he reckons they haven't done many K's but the wear is there.
One hasn't been roaded though.

He wants $1200, its too far for me to drive especially not knowing if the have any splits or chips.

So I will give them a miss, thanks anyway Kevin

Be OK if you lived closer, cost me a day plus $150 in diesel and tolls to pick them up. It adds up fast LOL
