OK, just heard the following. HEMA are updating their GU Map Patrol to a LC79. They are moving away from the 3.0 litre to a dual cab with 4.5 litre V8.

Maybe they should call it the Map Cruiser!

That patrol they used, had high 300k mileage. It was there at last years expo, and it was apparently on it's third engine transplant.
One of the last few 4wd action dvd's when they ventured to the dead centre of simpson, they had a 200 series.

I guess if they where wearing out a motor every 100 000km then it makes sense they are going to a bigger engine. Too bad Nissan didn't develop a ZD45 version. Two more cylinders and 50% bigger capacity. That would have been a good motor.

What's wrong with leaf springs? Some of us are very happy with leaf springs. Gee you know how to make a bloke feel like the poor cousin.
