my name is James I just brought a 2012 gu8 patrol to replace my old tired pajero

anyway what im after is info on this car I and to set it up for touring and a bit of off roading water crossings ect and I would like to know what mods it would be best to look into eg diff breathers, intercooler ect but i dont want to pay through the roof also if you could please mention brands as well that would be much appreciated I havent done much touring just off roading

As far as I can see this is what it already has
ARB bullbar, side rails and rock sliders
ARB roof rack and awning
ARB compressor
raskarr rear bar (2x jerry can holder and spare wheel holder)
Ridepro steering dampner
duel battery system
2" tough dog lift
Gme 80 channel uhf
boost and pyrometer gauge
3" exhaust
Redarc tailor brakes
safari snorkel
AVM hubs

I know i need a winch

Any feed back would be great

Thanks James

Welcome James
Sounds like your vehicle has most of the goodies
I don't have a winch (do have a tirfor at home but it never goes with me, gets lots of use on the farm)
I've been stuck a few times but each time I've let the tires down to 10 psi and slowly drove out (both times on sand nothing to winch from and no one around)
I did fit a up graded intercooler and it has given me some more torque (my problem is weight close to 4 t so with 35's I have 4.625 diffs)
but it is horses for courses if you travel with others then you can share some of the recovery gear
Hope this helps
Joe

Welcome mate, surely the best forum on the net. If you need it, you can get it, if you want to know it, just ask it.
If you want to find it, go to the search bar for a universe of information.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of the greatest show on earth.

Welcome on board. Looks like it was a good buy with all the gear already on it. Maybe extend the rear diff breather to the front (engine bay). Thats about all I can think off.
