Off to the Island tomorrow for Anzac Day ceremonies. Weather is absolutely perfect so will stay for a week or so.
Sorry to those who have to work but this retirement is the best "job" I've ever had. Will only take a hour or so to pack the ute, book the barge from River Heads and island permits.

Hi all
Back a day early as weather turned bad with more to come.
Anzac Day on the beach at Waddy was unbelievable. Very moving and to be on a beach as the original ANZACS did was very memorable. Hard to count but I think there could have been close to 1,000 cars there for dawn ceremony and about 200/300 all day for the beers, live music and of course the two up. They had brilliant set up and sold all 25 kegs. The F18 did the low level pass at about 300 ft and sounded great.
Put in you diary for next year to be there.

Sounds great , I see they had a service at the Mahino as well this year , that would have been good to , especially since it was a hospital ship during the war ,
