Where can I buy aftermarket read door hinges that allow the doors to open fully??
Can't seem to locate them and hopefully one of our sponsors has them.

Any 4x4 shop should be able to help you only about $20 I'll find a link for you,,,,
You'll only need one for the small door,

When you grind the little pip off the underside make sure you
protect surounding areas with a bit of cardboard or similar.
Its a bit fiddly but once its ground off its easy as, I think if you scroll
down on my link you will see full fitting instructions with pics which is good

i got mine with the car....but its an eBay looking special.

does the job nicely. but if it was me id check quality in person and support my local 4x4 shop (the little guys not the big ones) and go direct through them............but that's just me. also i wouldn't have to wait for the thing to be delivered lol

Fitting extension was easy--getting the old pin out took most time. I took your advice and cut a cardboard guard to protect the paint etc.
I found your write-up and pics on the door strut--looks like a real winner. May be my next mod.
BTW report was august 2013 if anyone is looking.
Thanks again
