View Full Version : Forum Hoodies and Beanies

Gday guys and girls,

I am going to get on it. I have found a supplier and a quality Hoodie that is bloody warm with great hood and front hand warmer pocket. These are 320 weight and perfect for around the fire.

The hoodies are Black and I am getting them printed with the forum address in 2 colours on the left chest and across the back.

Hoodies will be $60 and the Best Quality possible

I am getting Beanies done too. The beanies will be embroided with the logo and will keep you warm

Beanies will be $20

I will be happy to work out a postage price in the next week or so for those that need it posted.

This will be a limited run rather that holding stock. If you want any of these items place your order. I will want payment at the close of the order and will place the final order on dollars received only. Once it's placed it would be a couple of week I reckon (need to check turn around time) then post out to all.

So super warm 2 colour Printed Black Hoodie $60

2 colour Embroided Beanie $20

Postage available.

Post your interest here. I will be placing the Order on 15th May. 4 weeks. Let's go.

The company that supplies the hoodie don't do a pic chart. The supplier sent me this today as a bit of a guide.

The Shoulder length should dictate arm length surely??

I’m gonna be ‘awkward’. :)

I’d like a hoodie subject to seeing a pic of one & knowing the measurements .............. but................... I don’t really want one with the forum logo on it (Sorry Andy, but the waistcoat thingo you gave me & the logo on my cars windscreen is enough to show that I’m a forum fanboi - it is the ONLY exception I’ve made to displaying the ‘advertising’ of others).

What I’d like is a plain black or dark grey one with long sleeves & a full length zippered front. Is that possible? No drama if it’s not, I know this ain’t Target. I just like the idea of a really good quality hoodie without having to go shopping for one.

Might be a generational thing, or maybe just a Cuppa thing, but logos are not really me. Every other member should buy one though! :) Have never understood why people pay large amounts of money to display the brand name of large corporations. If they paid me to do their advertising I might reconsider. Like I said, I do already show my support for this forum each time I take the car out & whenever I wear the waistcoat.

OK Guys, I have been on this for a bit, i have been back to the shop a couple of times and as late as Thursday for a review. I will update the front page when i can over the weekend. No App on the phone makes posting pics tough but i will transfer to Photobucket and go all Old School on yas.

Note also that there was a slight error in the pricing as i failed to add GST. I will work it all out over teh weekend and post again.

This is what i am working on and may even start a new thread just for orders once i am happy. This is Not a Negotiation. I simply dont have time to start a Poll or accept feed back and loose momentum. I have taken on board the comments to date though and here it is.

Beanies with Stitched monogram
Hoodies (No Zip) with printed monogram front and back
Hoodies (Full Zip) With Printed Monogram front and back
Kids sizes in both hoodies too.
Hoodies are all 320gsm weight
If you want your name added in an iron on print (Font to be determined.) below the Monogram this can be done for $6 per garment.

I am also considering 2 different jackets.
A Japara style jacket which is very traditional with shoulder cape like a Dryzabone (Not Oil Skin)
A more modern style with welded seems and lighter weight given you will have your hoodie on under it.
Both jackets have a 2000mm rain storm rating.

Happy to listen to comments on these two options over the weekend.

I cant sort out random garments and cant handle personal items added into the run. Sorry.

I will sort out some pics of the items over the week end. I have a sizing chart but the supplier needs to get some clarification for true measurements and advise me Monday.

I'm keen on the modern style, already have a full length japara style.
Will wait for the pics.

Thanks mate! I have been working on these today actually.

Sorting the pricing out and working out what is what.

There are2 different jackets I am looking at. The Japara style jacket has a Hood, is everyone happy with a hood.

Now tapa is on I can really sort this out. Will be pretty easy now.

I am thinking that we have the logo stitched on the right chest on the jacket and nothing on the back? Doing the back too will get expensive!! Or not! Just do it??

Yes the hoodies will definitely be 2colour screen printed Left chest and across the back.

Not sure about screen printing the jackets though guys. I can get the chest stitched pretty cheap but across the back will cost a bit as it's another setup and a bigger stitched logo. If there is enough interest though it could be possible.

Hi Kat, yes as linked above, these are the best hoodies I have ever seen mate. No crap, so warm they are nearlly Too warm!! These are 320gm weight and not sure you can buy a heavier fleece. Most Kmart type are 25o to 270gm on a good day, far less for some.

I am only umming and ahhing about the jackets because I want to touch them, feel them, confirm quality and style. The hoodies though, descision made mate. When i asked about the full zip ones I made sure they could do a320gm one in aZip or I wouldn't bother.

Not prepared to go through all this and deliver rubbish, the price is at the top end but the quality is too mate. Order with confidence.

Hi Guys,

I just got off the phone to the supplier, he does not have the last jacket and it is new for 2015 and he had never heard of it. He will get one in for me and i will go and have a look at it probably Thursday next week. As i said i dont want to put anything up that is going to disappoint us.

Note the last jacket is a Rain Jacket and does not actually have a warm liner. It would be assumed you have your warm hoodie under it and it is to keep the wind and rain out. It has a very high Storm and Breathability rating though and may suit guys in QLD too. I will have a good look at it guys. It will be a fair bit cheaper than Jacket 1 though but i am thinking of offering both jackets to please everyone.

I am a little concerned about embroidery across teh back of the jackets guys. I think that we may compromise the waterproof layer by stitching through ti and we could end up with a wet back. Not ideal! That last jacket would take screen printing pretty well he reckons so we might stick with that.

Clunk.... spoke to him about your Orangutang Arms! he is suggesting that you tell me what your looking to buy and what size you would normally order, your arm length and we can physically measure a garment and help determine the best fist for you. Finally got in last week for a peak at the other jacket and it's pretty good. Perfect for Spring rain or over a warm hoodie. Would work well up in QLD and humid climates too as it has a very high water proof rating. It is not lined and has a big back vent.
