G'day folks,

Have just joined up to join in what looks like a great bunch of blokes
sharing loads of knowledge and experiences. I am from Bunbury WA. Please don't hold it against me
but, I own a GU wagon the I ruthlessly tore the engine out of and transplanted
a 6.5 turbo chev into it. I can honestly say I have no disrespect for Nissan 4.2
diesel, it was simply a case of not enough power to tow my boat comforatably
over the long hauls.

Anyhow, I hope I can contribute some usefull info somewhere down the line.

G'day folks,

G'day Justin.

Welcome aboard and great to have you here.

I remember seeing a post card many, many years ago as describing WA as the land of plenty and the rest of OZ being mainly unexplored desert.

We are greatful to have a fellow Sandgroper to yak to.

Don't forget to tell toddrhind you live in Bunbury and he'll put you on his fancy map.

Any chance of a pic or two of your truck and under the bonnet?

Take care out there.

PS: Natalie Barr from Sunrise on Channel 7 is also a Bunbury identity.

Just add it to your intro. Oops. Start it in your own "Member's Ride" thread

I save mine to my computer, down load it onto Photobucket, edit it to 640 x 480 then go to share and copy and paste large forum thingie directly onto the 'quick reply' or 'go advanced'

Maybe if you post an introduction of your own highlighting your vehicle, current mods & future mods & take an interaction in a few conversations, you may get the info you require & even enjoy yourself while your at it.

Justin ,details , details please. Did you do the conversion or Brunswick diesel? Problems to overcome , Costs, experiences?. I too have a 4.2 ti struggling to pull my 23 foot 2.5 ton caravan over long hills and am thinking about the 6.5 litre Chev. Look forward to more detail. Good luck from Torch.
