Just putting this out there.

I'd love to drive over east in 2016 to see my relatives in Victoria (Alexandra and Warburton) and in NSW (Eden)

I need to put in for my 2016 hols in the next couple of months.

Please put your ideas, etc, for 2016 in this thread.

So it seems sa school runs threw easter again next year. Starts 1 week after.
If you guys make it during a holiday period id say pretty positively we'll be in it.
We haven't got to much planned this year so could do a week trip. Not that you guys have to do a week, we'd just make it worth while.

Why not do the lot..
Boarder track, pinnaroo to little desert,
Murray mouth
Down to carpenters rocks (they had 2 roll overs Australia Day this year)
Threw dunes and the buggy park.
Then recoup day in mount g before the drive home.
That's a pretty full on 7 days though.
So maybe a bit big for a long weekend lol

Thanks heaps.

I really need a local knowledge decision about dates sooner rather than later, coz I'll have a better chance of getting approval for holidays. No complaining if I don't get them. lol

Ideally, I'd like to be able to visit over east when it's not fire season and campfires can be lit, but I don't want to get soaked by torrential downpours.

More importantly, my truck is allergic to mud. Must be the new rims and tyres. lol. My wish list also includes not going more than 50m off the bitumen. PML.

I've got the wife knitting jumpers, beanies and scalfs already, coz I know how cold it gets over there. I was born in Vic and lived there the first 17 years of my life.

I'm self sufficient and not high maintenance! lol.

I've decided to head east late September for about 4-5 weeks, and hopefully there aren't camp fire restrictions at that time.

Looking forward to eating a wood fire cooked pizza, or two in church. lol.
