Went for a weekend away @ Newnes State Forest. Explored power lines, went down Spanish Steps & found Lost City. (Wasn't hard just had poor nav skills).

Was careless when testing the winch. New terminal and crimping $120.

Sounds expensive is it swauged on??
For that price I would have thrown in another
$100 and spooled up with 10mm Dyneema [30mtrs]

Terminal kit from Warn was $60 (terminal and the screw to attach to drum). In hindsight I could have prob used a cheaper part from another application.
These guy will crimp/swauge the terminal to cable for $16.50

Total $76.50

I thought he said $60.....apparently $16.50

Safety is paramount mate, could have got real hairy if you did not do all those mods!

That's what I said.
The 4 day boozefest in the Barossa helped.

Yea, going to the 4WD show next month - might have to leave the wallet home with the missus for my own safety. Good senseable mods and a great looking truck.
