Hi.

I Wonder if it's possible to install a 2007 y61 patrol 3.0l engine in my 2000 y61 wich have a zd30 engine?
Do i need an adapter plate or somthing to make it work?

Thanks in advance for any answers. :)

Mate, introduce yourself in the right section. You might get a better response that way..
Sorry cant help you with that question.
Welcome, BTW.

OK you have done:

Things that I have done to sort out lack of power is:
Changed the MAF sensor.
Changed the boost sensor.
Changed fuelfilter and airfilter.
Checked for leaks in the turbo pressure lines.
Checked EGR valve operation, and have now blocked it off. I have also installed a pressure valve to reduce for overboost.
Checked every sensor there is in the engine room with multimeter and scoop meter for puls on the crank position sensor and the turbo vacuum solenoid.
fitted brand new injectors.
inspected my exhaust and removed the catalyst converter.
Installed a boost gauge to check my boost.
Bosch service centre have done diagnostics to the diesel pump and checked all fuel lines and tank.
checked the PNP switch, so it shuts off when I put my car in gear.

As ThreeDogs suggest look at the Intercooler.

Now the MAF is important with the DZ30's but the MAP is minor but this may have a side effect on your motor. You should check this a well. It has some interaction with the IC but is not as significant as with the common rail motors.

With the IC it has chance of having a bit of a split due to its construction, the older it gets the bigger the chance something is wrong.

Now you have not said you have checked the pressure in each cylinder.. This may indicate a problem.

Your loss of coolant does indicate a possible head cracking. Not that uncommon really. Depends on the amount of Kms the motor has done and how much of that in short distance travel. Lots of short distance travelled may cause bad heating zones with in the head. Heat zones re glow plugs and injectors.

If your motor is around the 169K km then it has a possible head crack issue.

My opinion is replace it with a NEW motor not a ex loved/recon job.

Also do the following which ever path you take:
Check the radiator - may have a slight blockage besides the loss for fluid. End result get a full metal one.
EGR block
Dawes valve and set about 15 psi.
Catch can
New Intercooler NON Nissan.
Also get new injectors - make sure you have them check every 100K km at the max. They wear country to Mr Nissans feelings. If out of specs change.
Have your glow plus physically checked at 50 - 80,000 KM .. any suspect ones change the lot.
Use a glow plug timer. You don't need to plugs running for a full 5 minutes or till the motor warms up even in your climate. This just causes problems with the ceramic glow plugs.
Glow plug timers circuit diagrams are available here on this forum or at
http://www.patrol4x4.com/forum/
Just do search.

If you go for a replacement motor, i.e. pre loved, make sure the motor number is great than the one you have. So in reality a 2007 Di will do. Latest motor and Mr Nissan should have removed all problems , Haha..

Hope this helps.

Thanks for answers.

I found a used 2007 zd30 engine, and it's a recover from a car wich was delivered for disposal. But he said a Nissan dealer tried to fit this engine in a older 2000 model wagon, but i did not fit. I know that you have to use the ECU and main cable for the new engine. So i do not know if that was the problem for them or the it did not fit the engine Mounts or connecting to the gearbox.

The Map sensor have been replaced With a New one.

My motor i just shy of 300k km :)

The Di and CRD are both ZD30 motors. Where the problem may have been for the dealer is that you need a different intercooler with the CRD (intake on opposite side) and the fuel filter/return lines are different as well on the CRD. They may not have wanted to change all the ancillary equipment as well as the engine.
Not sure what else would be different.
