G'day all
I'm a newby to this sight so please be gentle with me
I've just recieved as a hand me down ,my dads 89 GQ 4by , she's an old beauty but not TO bad.
I'm used to newer 4wds,currently own an 08 Prado and before that a Mitsubishi delica
What I'd like to know is , when engaging and disengaging 4wd , do you have to get out and engage the hubs as well as changing the gears into 4wd
Thanks in advance
Les

G'Day Les, welcome to the forum mate

I would say you have manual hubs so you would have to get out and engage the hubs so you can get 4wd

Hi mate and welcome, to engage 4wd you'll need to lock the hubs and then select low or high 4wd.
If you have trouble disengaging it just reverse up for a few metres'
Mates got a Delica or as we call it the tip tip bread van, great bit of kit for what he does.
Anyway ask away and enjoy

Welcome mate, surely the best forum on the net. If you need it, you can get it, if you want to know it, just ask it.
If you want to find it, go to the search bar for a universe of information.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of the greatest show on earth.
