Hello,
I am new owner of Nissan Patrol 2006 TB45E. 113 000 km.
To be honest I don't know if have 200hp in my car and I have the same question about torque

So I would like to increase the power and the torque of my Patrol.
I use my car in dunes.

I looked for in the forum but I didn't find if there are some chips or if the we can remap the original ECU.
May be it's not possible.

And do you know a good brand for high performance camshaft, I just found crower.

Thanks for your advices I am a newbie with nissan :) :)

unfortunetly you cant tune a tb45e ecu as there is no compatible nistune board

2006 and TB45?? Are you sure it's not a TB48 with the DOHC motor?? Either way if you are only going to run a cam and just want a basi ecu edit you will have to run a tb42e ecu and get the nisstune or another type of piggy back but if you're planning on bolting on some torque to the side of the motor ie turbo I would be looking for an aftermarket ecu such as the wolf, haltech, microtech etc etc, something with a built in map sensor and is virtually fully programmable. Personally I would be asking your tuner which computer he prefers to use that way he will be able to map it out to the best of his ability

yeah at 15-18c a litre who cares.
must be heaps of super charger and turbo options for the UAE market
I did find a mob that did huge grinds for cams, Ill pop
down and see Andrew at On track he and Birdie had 335rWkW petrol patrols
I know they made their own manifolds Warren from Flamin Fabs did that.
He's out of modding atm but he'd should still know some places.

Thank you for your answers.
Yes it's a model 2006 with 4.5.

I brought with me a megasquirt ecu. I have the same one on my land rover.

Here in UAE the solution is to fit the old nissan with big US v8...
For the moment I don t want to do it. I want to keep the original engine.
Just to change Camshaft Exhaust and Ecu.
15 years ago in France the patrol on Paris Dakar had 260 hp with the 4500. For me that is enough.

I know the Megasquirt 3 can be spliced into the TB45E ECU wiring but, at the time it was done, it required a specially slotted disc in the distributor for the crank angle sensor.
Look up member Scottmeister and send him a PM. He's quite the specialist for MS3 in a 4.5.

If you're thinking 260 HP at the wheels, I doubt you'll get that from a 4.5 without forced induction or a lot of very good engine work like valves, cam, balancing, porting in & out, etc..

En tous cas je te souhaite bonne chance!

For what its worth the tb42 is virtually the same motor and there is a company called Crow cams here in melbourne that may have one that will suit your needs straight off the shelf but personally I would install your megasquirt, upgrade the fuel system and bolt on a turbo. That should by rights give you the the best bang for your buck! You'll be tearing up the dunes in no time at all

Merci :D
Or only 200 hp at the wheels but more that I have today...
I don t know why but I am feeling a big difference between my patrol with 200 hp on the paper and my 110 with 4.2 v8 200 hp too on the paper
