Does anyone run EFS springs (especially in the rear)?
I called up FNB4WD regarding their Boss Patrol Chassis Brace kits and have booked the car in to get them installed. While discussing the different options with the salesman I mentioned I was sunning 30mm spacers in the rear due to the springs (ARB) sagging. With the spacers the car sits a little higher at the rear and when heavily loaded (3 ton or more) it is even with the front. I also told him that the ride was very stiff except when heavily loaded.

He suggested that I replace the rear springs with EFS units 30% softer for comfort and maybe air bags if the load is heavy. That way I would get a better ride and still be able to load the car up without sagging. I will go in and get the car checked out/measured to see what

I have a few questions though:
1. How good are EFS? Do they sag, are they strong etc.
2. Does anyone know where they are made? I have read conflicting info on the net, some say Carroll springs, others say they are Kings springs.
3. What affect does using air bags have on the car when off road or on bad roads (corrugations). Do you lose a lot of flex?
4. Are air bags harder on the chassis and towers? Keep in mind I am strengthening the coil towers.

I can live with the current set up even though it is harsh. What are your opinions. Would this set up work both on and off the road?

All springs sag over time, over weight etc.
The spring pads on the diff can also break over time so any extra load or hard work expect extra maintenance.

If you want a soft ride but heavy load capability then go a stock spring rate and air bags.
