Hi just enquiring about I'm replacing my manifold gasket on my 2.8rd can I just bolt it on without any sealants.

depends on what the gasket looks like,
those silver looking jobs dont need any goo that I know of

I can either use the gasket cement or the ultra blue silicone .

I used to smear some hi temp RTV on that style more to hold it in place

Is the gasket cement gritty to feel, ??

something at the back of my mind says rub oil on it then fit,
but that may be an old school thing

thanks everyone I've put the manifolds on no sealant used,
how I've got another problem cannot find the engine number rd2.8
