I want to buy a nissan patrol but i have noticed that there are two different engines. I just would like to know what the differences are between them
One of the engines have nissan di turbo on it and the other one has nothing at all on it just wanna know what it is thankyou

The Di will more than likely be a direct injection 3lt turbo diesel. But you haven't exactly been fruitful with info on the other mate, it could be a Landrover in disguise for all we know

Are they both 4cylinder diesel?

From your intro post it seems you are talking about the 3ltr Di and the 3ltr CRD. Lots of opinions about reliability but if you want to know the difference just google Direct Injection verses Common Rail Diesel. Basically different ways of getting the fuel into the cylinder. CRD is the more common or later method used. I won't go any further as everyone has an opinion on the strengths and weaknesses of the 3 ltr motor. I think this is what you are getting at as the Patrol has more than two motors available. Two size diesels and petrol motors as well. Also different versions over the years.
