Hey guys I've got and 89 yellow gq y60 with the td42 and I've put a 3" suspension lift and 35" tires, the tires scrub so I'm going to lift the body 2" does this mean I have to get a new Bracket to lower the brake valve things for weight and if so where can I buy one and can I buy brackets to raise my front bumper and rear step thanks guys i also removed the side steps but still scrub when flexing/driving

Hi mate,
Please head over to the introduction section and post an intro. We like people to say Gday before asking for help. Friendly bunch here.

You should have a Brake Bias Braxket fitted regardless of a Body Lift (BL) as I is attached to the chassis not the body. This will make no difference to scrubbing and should be addressed.
A BL is common on a GQ as the guards radius is too small for 35s and they can scrub a little. If you have a 4" lift though your scrapping should be far less. I would be asking what rims you have and what offset they are?
Do you have adjustable Panards in your lift?

Hi mate, GQ guards usually need a bit of trim at the back of both the front and rears with 35s, even with a body lift. A body lift will definatly help tho. You can also move the front diff slightly forward (20mm) with lower control arm spacers which helps. Also with a rear quarter chop you shouldn't have any scrubbing on the rear, you will need a rear bar tho.
In regards to bar work there aren't any brackets that I'm aware of, you'll have to cut, weld and add a litte bracing. It's also a bit hard with the Nissan rear bar to raise, may as well go a good aftermarket one to suit body lift and perhaps quarter chop, wouldn't be worth the hassle stuffing around with it.

There -33 or something and they only scrub on the flairs, and where can I get bar work done? In Sydney area and I don't have adjustable pan hard rods

Not from Sydney, so can't recommend anywhere specific, but most good 4wd shops will be able to adjust bar work pretty cheap. Hopefully someone local can help you out. Do you have factory flares or aftermarket ones? The factory ones will rub big time with 35" tyres. 3" suspension lift is borderline to get away without adjustable panhard rods, maybe something to look at down the track - their stronger too.

like mudrunner said you should have the brake proportioning bracket already but you can get them from places like superior engineering on snake racing link below
http://www.superiorengineering.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=31_32_33_266&products_id=9336
you can also get the radius arm spaces from there as well and snake racing is based in Sydney so you may be able to pick up the parts.
ive got a 2" body and the 35's hit scrap on the rear so im thinking of increasing the rear bump stops. maybe replacing the original with the 80 series or adding a spacer to either the diff or chassis. (there is a few threads on this topic already)
