Well besides hoping for a new motor I am looking at doing a rebuild of my current ZD30.

Besides the basis, e.g. NADS and glow plug timer is there anything that should be considered in a rebuild?

What I want to do is fully rebuild my current stuffed motor so its a drop and plug in item. That is a long long motor.

One thing that crossed my mind was ceramic caps to the pistons. There is not much floating about this so I am not sure if its a worth wile exercise/cost.
Are there worth the cost and do they really save the pistons from damage?

Should something be dome with the valves, etc as well?

In essence looking at trying to build a as much as possible crunch proof ZD30.
