We had it yesterday arvo and this arvo in the Blu eMountains, can hear sirens now heading down the mountain, guess someones had an acco.

Yesterday we had a massive clap of thunder come out of know where, I was sitting at the computer at the time and nearly shat myself, in a split second of the bang there sounded like a big pop come from the computer and I swear I saw sparks come from the tower before it went off. I thought here we go again as I'm still waiting on a laptop and modem 2 arrive from my previous storm insurance claim that fried my laptop. Lucky the circuit breaker tripped and the desktop computer, laptop and modem came back 2 life :) :) :)

Thunderstorms came over here a couple of hours ago. Passed fairly quickly, not much in it. Had one really loud thunderclap though. Mate in the CFA rang me a short time later to tell me there was a lightning started grass fire just around the corner from me & that a crew were on there way, but it had started raining by then, so no real concern.

EDIT 5.05pm - more thunder & it’s just started raining again - hope we get a reasonable dump.

yeah I think its all slipped down south as in through Geelong
starting to warm up again now, but the lower temps were great whilst they lasted

Rain has finally arrived with rumbling in the back ground.
News says urgent weather warning for Melb,
might wash the parrot poop off the Patrol

Spoke too soon! Unbelievable rain, like a Top End monsoon deluge. 6” deep rivers running through the garden, gutters overflowing etc. Most rain I’ve seen in Ballarat. Soaked through out in the rain digging ‘diversion channels’ to stop the workshop flooding. Phew! Reckon Melbourne might still get some.

I have just spent all day excavating my bottom driveway because my driveway is the cause of flooding my neighbours house :(

Pretty much had to do a 45 degree cut across it to drain on the lower side which means no standard cars up my bottom driveway anymore.

How long has the driveway been there? Did you put it in? I'd have said a big FO if it's gunna stuff my driveway up. Or do it properly and bury a concrete pipe so you can still traverse

Well our gutters overflowed at the front of the house and now we have wet carpet in the main bedroom :( Insurance excess is probably more than what its would cost to replace the carpet. Just waiting on a call back from the insurance company. Apparently the assessment team is tied up at the moment from QLD's storm...
