Hello every one I'm about to weld a socket on for the boost line
( Sorry it's a 3 liter ZD Stock exept for exhaust)
I've searched the forum quite a bit and
I'm unsure if I should weld it on the tube entering the inter cooler
Or on the tube exiting inter cooler I welded a bung in for the EGT
Just need the Boost line
Thanks

For what it is worth:
I had the socket welded to the final pipe--inter cooler to intake manifold. I found laying the hose out where I needed it helped in locating the best spot-plastic engine cover off.
I drilled and tapped (1/4" w) and screwed through the socket into place, so no movement during brazing. I had removed paint on the tube for a clean braze--thin wall so welding was a bit of a worry. I then removed the screw and enlarged the hole through the socket. A quick spray of gloss black and it looks like a bought one. Worked a treat.

Ended up with boost line just before inter cooler simply because it was easy
if need be can change later

Here is a completed boost fitting on the upper intercooler to manifold pipe, as noted previously
