mileage and trip meter not working gq patrol

so pretty much as the title says both of these do not work and ive just chucked a new motor in my gq and would like to know my mileage for servicing the old girl,does anyone know if theres a fix for this or do i need to get another dash?its a rb30 motor and every thing else works,all the gauges.speedo tachoe all good..dont think i even noticed it for about 40k lol..thankyou

Mine didn't work for about 5 years, when I pulled the cluster apart I found a piece of plastic jamming the gear.

If after inspecting the cluster and finding no problems, (such as bad contacts, broken wiring, or mechanical failure etc), it is fairly easy to undo the speedo sender from the gearbox and using a battery drill to get the system up to around 60kph. While the speedo is running, you should be able to see and hear the odometer motor running. It is easy to change the individual components out, so the wreckers might prove to be your best option.

There is also a bloke advertising on ebay to do an exchange service. I want to do the same but I still have no units for spares.
