Hi All, Just a quick one to rest my mind.... What width tyres can you put on a 6 inch rim... Im in qld if that makes a difference... I am looking at a set of 16x6 rims cheap and just what to make sure I can put 235s on it....

235's are about 9.25 inches wide. I don't see any problems fitting them to a 6" rim.

Cheers

However I don't know of all that many 6" wide rims that fit a patrol, aside from split rims and the factory rims on a 2.8. So make sure that the offsets, hub hole size, and clearance on the brake calipers and steering components is a ok.

Bearing in mind what Punderhead says above................... my ex Telstra Patrol came with 235/85 R16’s on 5.5” split rims.

WOW 5.5 rims... I just see and read all these guys with 8 inch rims and 235-265 and then there are the army "truck" with cheese cutters on them and they go everywhere... I just worry that I might make a mistake but some older guys swear by smaller rim and tyre verse the 8 inch rim with 265 and bigger...
