Hello all.
Has anybody replaced the globes with leds in the lights near to sunglasses compartment. As the old globes sit horizontally the leds need to sit vertically to produce enough light.
Any ideas on how to modify this.

Yeah I used those LED interior lamp kits you get on evil bay. They are like a square plate with around 12 or so leds in it. Back when I did it I couldn't find them with the right globe fitment so I broke a globe apart and soldered in the wires to the globe base. Works perfect and nice n' bright. I think hodge has got some he bought that fitted straight in...
Sort of light whats in this link. This kit has the adaptors. I just made my own...

Yep, $18.50 for an eBay set (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-Patrol-GQ-GU-Interior-light-LED-upgrade-kit-dome-map-/181437864276?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a3e8a1954), which included centre and rear courtesy lights as well as map light. Simple plug and play and a big improvement over the OEMs.

I've got a pair of COB LED's in there. They're in all my interior lights actually and light the place up better than the SCG. Plenty of pics on page 1-3 in my build.

Bought the set that TimE has a link to.
Very happy with it. The map ones are not as bright, but enough to see what your doing. The rear and centre ones, wow.

I put 9 smd led globes in that sun glass holder and replaced the main interior and cargo area
with very bright leds, the main I can switch from cool white to red. easier on the eyes.
If you see my post with all my lights on the straight lines are "COB" led like Rocket has.
As Im going to build a rear shelf in the cargo area, and those cob lights are awsome.
They throw a heap of light easy to mount and flat as,
still got me beat how they can be so bright

Yep. Anyone looking for something bright. Get those ones. John came over and I saw them. You need to wear sun glasses at night. They are that bright.
