Have had mine in for about 6 months now actually. No issues and was easy to fit. Certainly is a solid bit of kit and well made.

Thanks for the pics FNQGU, looks great, good DIY job to do in the driveway.
How do you fit them, looks like you mount them using the bump pad bolts then drill the 4 holes for the countersunk screws and thats about it. Any advice or recommendations welcome.
Nice red shocks, Koni's?

I think they utilise holes already in the mount.
It is illegal by law to modify a chassis without engineering so I'd say it would be a bolt in product

Yeah, it is bolt in. Couple on top and the main two slot in under the bump stops.
Just go to town with some Tectyl or similar between the Boss and the underside of the shock tower. Otherwise it is very straight forward and comes with simple instructions.

Yep, have a set on my GU IV, took my mechanic 1/2 hour to install, easily done. So far so good. Doing 8500 ks over the next 2 months towing the camper through some rough (and smooth) country, that will be the test for me.

FNQGU is it Tectyl 506 Rust Preventative you recommend to spray on before fitting the brace.

That is what I used, but really any of those sorts of products. I just didn't want moisture sitting up there between the plates. I think they recommended it in the instructions too from memory.

I received a call from FNB4WD yesterday to say they were picking up a batch of the braces from the electroplaters. Looking forward to receiving the kit in the mail this week.

Yeah I know but trying to save for the TD built is impossible! These braces, rear drawers and get my long range tank finished are on my to do list aswell. I just want to eff this bloody ZD30 off for once and for good. I hate having that dreaded thought in the back of my mind everytime I hop in the thing that I'm gonna be next for the pin to drop. Maybe I'll sell my kids...

BOSS Kit turned up today. Good instructions and all hardware needed was in the box. Nice looking piece of kit. I am more comfortable fitting this kit than welding brackets onto the chassis.
Yeah mudski, I will be fitting a long range tank at the same time I fit the Boss Kit. I figure if i pull the old tank out I will have plenty of room to fit the braces and then fit the long range tank. Do it all in one hit. Might even use the rest of the Tectyl 506 on the body behind the tank before I fit the new one.

You use existing holes, no need for any drilling.

Dammit, now I'm paranoid about my chassis...
Well, I checked mine and so far so good, but it had a gentle life before I got it, I dunno if it will stay happy now I've got it.
I guess that's $495 I gotta spend, that I didn't plan on, ah well, that's cars for you.
Looks like I'll be placing an order, does anyone know any reason I shouldn't get the boss kit? (I don't have a body lift so the superior one is out the window).
Thanks all.

Superior do 2 types of kits, the across tower brace and the no lift required brace.

Thanks for that Kallen, I've looked at their website, so can anyone offer a suggestion as to which option to go with the superior brace kit for no lift, or the boss kit?

Really mate I think it's personally choice.
We have different blokes running different kits and they all like each of them.
I guess if your running no body lift the boss kit is probably the kit of choice.
Not sure how it's priced against the superior kits though.
I know the superior full length tower brace to suit body lift has been copied quite a bit and the clones are cheaper. So again, more options.
