I have just bought a 98 GU TB45, when I bought it I didn't notice that the hubs were in the locked position. Today I moved them to the auto position and i noticed that the front right hub makes a screeching noise. When I turn the back to the lock position the noise goes away. It is definitely, getting drive to the front wheels, any idea of cause and solution?

Prev owner hasn't operated the Hubs correctly or serrviced them and probably chewed them out.
He then locked them for the sale hoping you wouldn't notice.

You might get them back OK with a service but I reckon they are probably cactus so you can:
Reco the existing Auto Hubs or
Switch to manual ones... or
Drive around with them locked which will use a bit of extra fuel and wear the tyres a tad quicker but won't damage anything.

Thanks for the info, I have ordered a set of manual hubs. I've got a TB45 so anything I can do to reduce fuel consumption is good news :)
