The season has kicked off tonight and a few exiting games happening this weekend.

Being a Raiders fan I reckon they will be in the top 8 this season again( but no cross-dressing bets YET..lol)

Ever since they banned the "Coat Hanger", "Spear Tackle" and the violence in the game I find it boring anyway.......................that seems to be the problem with all sport these days, just not enough violence, the players get paid a bloody fortune so surely they can take a bit of pain for their money.

Yeah, the decision to rub that out of the game was a good one - still happens every now and then, mostly due to physics and not malice, but no fun to watch that sort of thing. Luke O'Donnell's on Darius Boyd in last years Origin was just a grub act - love O'Donnell as a player, think he was tough as teak, but he should have been banned for life for that - it was malicious and went beyond trying to smash someone, he tried to put him in a wheelchair, and that is NOT sport.

Indeed! I have been anticipating the start of the season. Because I grew up in Qld, I'm not a huge fan of AFL(mostly cos I don't really understand it), and that's all they play on the Tele over here! So this Friday night will be a date with the couch, a carton and Fox Sports!

Storm are still riddled with injuries too though, but you won't hear the NSW commentary mention it tomorrow night.
