Why is your Patrol the best

Well we all know that we own the best 4x4 ever made, but what makes yours the best.
For me is the fact that its a stockie. That way that I can build it up to suit me and being stock I know that it hasn't been a mudpig. Downside is need more $$$ but cheaper to buy.
I also like the colour of mine( and the pewter), I think it goes well with the black flares, wheels and bar. I stayed away from the diesels as the funds only allowed an early zd30. I'm happy enough with the power and consumption of the TB45 on gas.
It takes me to work, my kids to school, my wife to the shops, out to the bush and all of us away on holidays. I can really drive it anywhere.
Over the 4 weeks or so I'll done over 2500km and since owning it almost 18000km. Apart from some general maintenance that the pervious didn't do so far so good.
Its still far from where I want it to be but, I'm very proud to own a GU patrol.

Because it's a White Nissan Patrol with a nice big tough roof rack and a spare wheel on the back door and nice chunky tyres that makes it look like it can go anywhere and it never ceases to amaze me just where it actually can and does go.

And it's got a cool winch that pulls it out of sticky situations.

And cause she is cute....

Because we waited until we found a low Km 4.2, and kitted it out so we can access food, cooking gear, camping gear and recovery items without lifting any boxes or other gear out of the way.
We can drink fresh water from our ute, have a hot shower and relax in insect free shade anywhere we park. The cockpit has all the mod cons (even though its a DX) so we feel like a million bucks driving in it.
We own it outright - Yay!
We are so heavy that we will win in a collision, go momentum!!(and kinetic energy)
It can go anywhere (Welllll, so far anyway :smile:)
Mostly, because if we are in it, we are going camping and that's an awesome feeling.

What I didnt want was to look exactely like the guy up the road
who spent $$$$ at ARB or TJM and still looks the same as mine.

Because it is a white 4.2 tdi GU IV that I own and don't care how much I have spent getting to be the great tourer, and occasional rock monkey, that I always dreamed about.
