Just thought I'd pop up a thread regarding this.
Caught up with growler 2058 the other day and he asked about the oil I'd just picked up.
On the caltex website it has a list of stockists (one of which is the caltex servo on Cross Keys Rd, just of Montacute)
I spoke to one of the lads in the warehouse and he said they always stock it.
Went in on Saturday and sure enough the rack was bulging with 20L cans of the mulitigrade and the gold brand in 15W 40.
Ended up getting 20L for $110 which ain't to bad considering I was able to pick it up straight away ( I know blokes are getting it cheaper over the net).
Just thought I'd share In case anyone in adelaide has left there pre long weekend oil change to the last minute and wants to get there hand on it.
Cheers, potsy.

Nice mate.
Tell ya what you Adelaide boys should do is split a 44 and decant it. Probably work out around 80-90 for 20L

just rang the warehouse at cavan and price for 205 ltr drum $1003 20 ltr 110 so ia it worth saving $100 and the hassle of decanting and organising a group buy

If it's just $10 per 20l drum probably not.
I just put it out there as model fuel (methanol) you save close to 40% per 20l..

Is a nice thought but between ten blokes I can see issues arising, who gets to keep it! And what happens when someone knocks the drum over, plus there will always be one guy (with a leaky old bus) who uses more than the rest....haha.
Probably me.
Changed my oil last week before spending the weekend down at salt creek and goolwa and very impressed.
No real change in the noise at idle but when I'm accelerating or at high revs in low second stuck behind a hundred series along salt creek beach it's a fair bit quieter.
Recommend it to anyone with a GU tractor like mine.

Love a bit of banter mate!
Should send caltex an email, they may be interested. Get all the patrols and race them across 400k's of beaches around Australia! More passing and probably less crashes than the V8's!
P.s. Name is three dogs but I only see two?

no issues bring your containers on a set date and fill them up to your quota
then you dont get rung all the time for people to come and get a small amount at a time
dont let growler do the decanting
as i have seen the mess he makes LOL

Hahaha.......funny you should say that, when I saw him before the long weekend I think his missus was a little unhappy about a large pool of oil on the grass. I'm lucky I have a surplus of huge cardboard boxes from new air cons that I slip under the car as it not only catches the oil but soaks it up.
Will keep the group buy in mind for down the track as I've got 9.5L of the stuff sitting in the shed for now.
Cheers.
