so my alternator has started to make a terrible noise is there any upgrades from standard from what I have read is a 100 amp

Factory on the '07 should be a 90 amp Hitachi IIRC.

Why do you want to upgrade it?
90 Amps is usually heaps of zap and an upgrade is an expensive option if it is only the sprag clutch on the 90 playing up.
Just fix the clutch or replace with a solid drive pully.
I advocate the former but heaps of people do the latter and insist they have no probs.

ok thanks didn't know what was out there the noise is definitely inside the alt. the reason for the upgrade is I run plenty of power out the back for the van.

Hi mate,

You can get a 100 Amp jobbie for a couple of hundred bucks but I do not know what the specs are at 2500 RPM against a 90 Amp.
It may only be an extra 5 or 6 amps or so at most.
You would need to check manuf specs.

A while back there was a 115 and 130 amp options on the Internet but I haven't seen any for a while and the 130 was awesomely expensive (IMHO)
