hey everyone just wondering if it worth while having rotors machined or just get some news
running a y61 gu wagon 4.2 ti

There's a minimum thickness the rotors need to be. The places that machine rotors will be able to measure and tell you (or look in the service manual.

If you do machine, or replace the rotors, be sure to also replace the brake pads at the same time.

And then there's the question what are the symptoms that led you to ask about machining?

Got mine done after I rooted them two weeks ago. Mind you the rotor were only two months old. Got a mobile bloke to come out to me. Cost me $75 an end...

I would machine if I could as cheaper than new rotors most of the time... But I would change pads and check out the bearings while it is all apart unless you get a mobile guy out...

I got quoted $60 per end for new rotors for the front last week

Slotted/dimpled rotors are fairly cheap. Why would you bother mucking around?
