That was nice

You could have a lot of fun in a buggy like that!
I've got a good photo of a Land Rover I spotted at Bunnings in Morwell a little while ago... I'll try and find it.

Clearly they have enough money, should get a better trailer for it!

No, that's a 79 series, which is dual cab. Manual turbo 5 speed 4.5 v8 diesel.

The buggy pic is a 200 series with a rear quarter chop. 6 speed Auto 4.5l v8 diesel with twin turbo.

(I saw a video of the 79 series with an aftermarket auto box. The video was by marks 4x4 adapters. The auto box was $17k installed, with engineering. Although the Ute was probably chipped with exhaust, it is probably a good mod)

They should get something better to tow the trailer! 200's are damn ugly!

They don't have a unique grenade issue. At least they can tow...

They just have a bad habit of consuming oil and also a injector pump costs $20k!

Fuel consumption in the 11s. Oil usage just about sorted (a lot of it comes out the pcv, and a baffle plate can be installed. The same injector issues could afflict any card diesel.

Do I detect a small amount of disbelief on this forum that a manufacturer other than nissan could actually build a tow vehicle that would come close or surpass?

speaking with a mate of mine a few days ago, and they've just gone and done something similar to a clients 200 at their work........ brand spanking new, chopped the back end off, increased the chassis length by 1.5m and added a third axle. So 80odd K for the new yota, extra 25k for the conversion, it beggars belief.
