What is this little grill on the dash under the diff lock switch. I've been checking out where I could mount a CB and thought i could use this to route a CB mic controller and have a remote unit under the dash somewhere. Any ideas?

Pretty sure its the Interior temp sensor (if equipped)

That is the input vent for the temperature senor used on the Ti climate control. So you can use away. I have a similar type of CB as yourself. I had some fun with the dermal and made this with a blank switch:
