Hi guys thought I'd post up my GQ that I recently got, is was my dads car but he gave it to me for my birthday as he wants a car better suited to driving around town because he does a lot more of that now days. I'm only on my Ls so there won't be much off road pics for awhile and there wont be huge changes happening quickly as my part time job doesn't pay enough for that unfortunately haha.

Welcome mate. What a great GQ to start your driving days with. Looks like its already got a lot of the basic mods and should serve you well without spending heaps. Best thing to do is learn to drive it responsibly and look after it well, nothing worse then damaging your pride and joy, I learnt the hard way :(

Again welcome and hopefully we will see you around the tracks sometime.

Yeah I love the colour looks really cool, its a 4.2 efi petrol and I cant wait to start 4wding but I need more practice on paved roads first. I Am keen to see how far I can get before I get bogged haha, the plan is buy a winch so I can pull myself out when I get bogged and ill get bigger tiers later once I've gotten a little better behind the wheel and when these ones wear out.

Looking good , now go join a 4x4 club to learn how to correctly winch yourself.
There are great forces involved so be very very carefull, and NEVER use the TOWBALL
as a recovery point, it kills. Armed with all this new knowledge you'll have a ball
but most of all you'll be safe, and thats the name of the game

You couldn't have asked for a better present. What a great looking truck, my favourite colour too. One day I might get around to re-painting my truck in that colour.

She seems to be set up fairly well not a lot to do on her.

What motor is it running?

Yeah its set up pretty well, its a TB42E on dual fuel. I'm in the process of re-locating the gas tank as it currently sits in the back of the car, I have a sub tank that I'm going to put in for the main fuel tank and I have a gas tank that's going underneath where the standard fuel tank currently is, I lose 20L of petrol but I gain 65L of gas so that works for me. I've sand blasted the sub tank and I've installed my bent control arm all that's left the figure out how best to route the filler pipe. Then I have to drop the standard fuel tank and put the pump in the sub tank then mount the sub tank and plumb it up.
