Ok, so I am keen to fit an engine watchdog for a number of reasons.

The choice seems to come down to the Aussie made one (http://enginewatchdog.com/tm4%20installation.html) or this other one from eBay. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ENGINE-GUARDIAN-WATCHDOG-OVERHEATING-ALARM-HEAT-SENSOR-/181521351119?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item 2a438401cf&clk_rvr_id=743525952064.

Installation doesn't seem too difficult, but without having one in my hands, I am wondering where one might best mount up the display in a GU.

Does anyone else have one and where did you mount the display?

I note that the eBay seller has a website but no contact number, and when I dropped them an email, the reply came back in not-so-gooder English, which makes me a little nervous.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have the Yank one.

Works exactly as advertised and you can't miss the alarm as it is quite loud

Very simple to fit and wire up also comes complete with relays, relay mounts etc.
Reasonably easy to program.
Plenty of wire length so you can put the bits anywhere you desire

I have the display just below the heater controls
The electronics box is up behind the glove box
