Question for everyone.

How long has your tyres lasted for? If you could answer in years and months if you can.

I just got a new set of tyres today for my 4by after 3 years and 3 months. ( the tyres were at about 90% when I brought the car)

Think you need to include kilometres travelled on such tyres , or your not really getting/giving any info, I mean, ive got tyres ive had for 20 years and they still have heaps of tread because they have done zero ks.

Could be a great thread if you also included, brand and tyre (e.g. Mud or road tyre etc)

It was a daily driver for about 2 years and the other year and a bit was used atnight and the weekends as a family car. Its has also done a few trips from adelaide to port augusta. Im unsure on the exact km ive done

Too many variables mate to give a accurate assessment :ie weight of vehicle , tyre rotation intervals ,normal tyre pressure ,kms travelled , road types , etc for example I have a 1999 coil cab with a fibreglass canopy ,runva 12000 lb winch and steel bar on the front , a steel tray ,water tank battery box , 2 spares and engel as the bare minimum weight . I run high tyre pressure for max economy so fr 48 psi fl 50psi and 45psi on the back a lot of people will go off about this but with general grabbers a/t s and doing 20k a year on blacktop and 5k on the dirt I'm losing around 1-2 mil of the tread a year ,keep in mind I live in a country area and as the tyres age they get harder .Hope that helps a bit !

No they are a mud tyre. You have to understand that it's silly to measure tyre performance by time... It should be done by kms

And in some climates the life of a tyre is measured in perishing, not tyre wear.

And in some climates the life of a tyre is measured in perishing, not tyre wear. Yes check the side wall for a expiry date on overseas made tyres as this can negate your insurance .ie Michlein maybe Coopers etc

I know there is a lot of variables. I was only asking the question as a general question.

Hopefully we've generally answered it...

Well as a daily driver I think my tyres will last 50,000k or roughly 4-5 years.
If It was not a daily then tyres would probably last a lifetime
