Hi all , I have just purchased a 2007 common rail gu patrol wagon , I would just like some advice on if i need to be looking for problems or modifications on making it better....Do these models still have egr problems ? maf ?

do you want it to go better if so add the following egt gauge and scangauge block the egr then a buedesert exhaust then a chip and upgrade the intercooler and it will fly. if you don't want to do all this I would highly recommend a egt gauge and drive your car via the temperature

Ok thanks kevin , will that also give me better fuel economy by doing all of that,. what sort of intercooler do u suggest.

Agree with K07... first purchase should be a Scangauge or equivalent.
2nd purchase should be a can of MAF cleaner and a set of Torx bits.
Clean your MAF about every 20,000 K's or so

After that the worlds your oyster.
You won't need EGT until you chip the engine or flash the ECU.
Pretty much everything else you do such as better exhaust, intercooler, EGR block etc will all lower EGT.

somewhat better economy what are you getting now

mine is a 4.2 and i get 13.5 to 22ltrs per 100 :smileyvault-cute-bi
