Hey guys got a mate whose got a spare tb42 efi and said I can have the efi set up if I want it
Is it worth doing? Power, fuel wise? Pushing 35s or just stay carby?
His was an auto converted to manual will that matter?
Cheers

Go the efi mate last thing you want is the engine stalling at a critical time and flooding. That's what happened to me and I ended up rolling it. Plus better fuel economy as well

EFI for sure mate, fuel economy better (though never thrifty), reliability is better and as above no more flooded carbies when on steep hills.

EFI every day only because it a more efficient way of delivering fuel.
and at that price you're laughing IMO, Bit more zing too
if worried about turning 35's check your diff ratios

If I could get the gear for free I would swap to EFI!!!
My dad bought the Maverick new and his era knows carbys, now I have it and I would feel more comfortable with EFI. It's a different technology so if you do the swap do some reading so you can diagnose faults etc. it's a contentious point but some would argue the only advantage of a carb is the simplicity if you have troubles way out bush...
