Gday, I have just finished converting my patrol back to straight petrol.
Now I have a problem with the tanks pressurising, whenever I stop I have to open the fuel cap to let some of the pressure out.
My question is, 1. what would be the cause? and 2. how do I fix it?

Is the charcoal canister connected correctly (ie, hoses going into the right places, check valve pointing in the right direction)? If it is, make sure the vapour/vent (hose from the tank to the cannister) isnt kinked or pinched anywhere. Then make sure that purge valve and hose (cannister to motor) are also connected properly.

I had a look last night after I posted this and found that the check valve that I didn't bother hooking up as the filler neck I got from the wrecker had an extra breather hose on it so I just hooked it from there to the little breather hose on the tank.
I have since changed this, blocked the filler hose breather and fitted a "T" piece joining the two tanks through the check valve to the motor.
