Hi guys,
I have just done the swivel hubs and now the drivers side is squeaking. Are the bearings too tight? Can't adjust to torque as I don't have the special attachment. Passenger side has the smallest bit of play but the drivers has no play. Any ideas.

Which part is squeaking mate? Wheel bearings, king pin bearings?

I would say it is the wheel bearings as changes with speed not turning.

Did you replace the wheel bearings? If not, no need to seat them with a torque wrench.

Yeah, replaced everything while I had it apart as I have only owned for a year and no idea of when it was last done.

Not good if squeaking.
I'd be pulling down asap as it's probably steel on steel.
I'd say bearing not seated..

I'd say the hub seal is running dry. I had squeaking hubs after a bearing change. I removed the hub and where the seal runs was all black from wearing on the seal. New seals and then coated the area where the seal runs with grease and all good.

Hi Mudski,
All new seals and bearings. Heaps of grease packed in. I have adjusted the front bearings and loosened one hole backwards and squeak gone. I have ordered tool to toque them up to spec. I think I had them too tight.
Cheers
