GQ Patrol winch/bullbar issue

Hey guys,

I only have an ARB bullbar which isn't bullbar compatible, i've been told I can have it modified to suit a winch and i've also been told to get a winch cradle that attaches to the chassis and just cut hole for winch cable.
Has anyone got any info on these ways or have a solution?

I think it would need brackets to space it out a bit further too,
A winch bar for a GQ would be that expensive, save a lot of work
