Starting issues 2007 3.0L crd

Hi Guys just after a little advice, have a 3.0l crd which has developed starting issues, sometimes starts (although takes around 4-5 secs of winding) have replaced fuel filter (genuine), hand prime only holds pressure for a minute or so (new one ordered) but pumping primer while turning over ignition makes no difference. Cant find any obvious leaks in fuel lines. Connected scan tool & got a P0089 ( fuel pressure regulator) code while winding ignition over. NATS is working as it should. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks , Rob

Rob,

You may have a leaky injector, which is taking a while to come up to pressure for starting.

That is where I would be looking....
