New to Forum Hi to Everyone

I recently picked up a 2005 4.2ti patrol cab chassis and have a bit of a fuel delivery problem.

Motor feels like naturally asperated, turbo is fine will not pick up revs past 2500 under load.

In neutral revs rough as when approaching 3000 with smoke then clears when max revs are
finally reached

Any ideas prior to me pulling off injector pump.

Check the gauze filter inside the banjo fitting where the fuel inlet line attaches to the injector pump.
