Gday.

I have been modifing my turbo while the motor is out. Started with the turbine housing. I removed alot of material and also opened the wastegate from 19mm to 26mm

what do you use for new Wastegate flap?

gotta do this to my xr6t as I put exhaust on and now it overboosts. port n enlarge the port will stop it

Yeah I heard that it an issue with the xr6t's, my wastegate flap still covers the port

A makita die grinder, then a dremel branded dremelwith a grinding stone then a 180 grit and 320 grit abrasive buff

Nah no more boost, 'ill just keep it where it is for now then change it after seeing what kind of drive pressures I'll see with these mods

How come one of the long sides is not square benny ? , is that port matched to the manifold and you will make your own gasket ,or did you just go a bit wide, only ask as from the first pic the gasket internal long edge looks parallel on both sides ?, tis a nice finish anyway bud.

I went wide on the exhaust manifold. I painted and took the pic before double checking. Its all matched now

I have seen people use old valves from a cylinder head for this.
