Hey guys,

I have a GU 2in lift in my GQ, the springs are HD and i've stuffed a shock so i'm thinking of getting 3in shocks instead of the 2in ones.
Will I have to extend brake lines and will I have to worry about springs falling out?

Any assistance is appreciated as I have to make a decision pretty quick.

You can probably get away with the standard brake lines by slightly extending the mounting bracket on the diff. I made up a spacer bracket till I got a custom braided line made up, and it was fine.

As a permanent solution though, I had a braided line made up for around 60 dollars ..... cheap insurance

What is the extended length of the longer 3 inch lift shocks to the 2 inch lift?

Should be fine and won't need to change anything.

Springs wont fall out either with only a small increase in extended length

Did you notice any differences between the 2 inch shock compared to the 3 inch

I sure did notice a difference, i've had to lengthen brake lines. As for flex, yes a noticeable difference especially with front sway bar removed. Problem is different brand shocks have such different travel lengths etc, I ended up with Raw ones due to the amount the extended compared to others, I was going the ProComp ones but guy reckons I couldn't do it so I went elsewhere.
