Bonnet scoop on gq centered

Trying to find some images on google of centred bonnet scoops on the gq and all I see is Darren's gq with his wrx scoop plastered everywhere...lol...anyways!

Using a scoop that has a front base part of the mould when mounting in the centre of the bonnet do people fill the indentation in on the bonnet for looks or just mount it and enjoy the gap underneath it?

Here's one. We just has the gap. It doesn't look horrible each to their own.

Any one know where I can pick up a cheap scoop like the one above? I have a gu with the 3l scoop and was thinking I'd just mount a second one next to it. I didn't know if it was to far over to place a larger one centred. Yet to build the cooler brackets so all options are open. Thought on it looking funny?

2 standard scoops side by side don't look bad at all mate. The one above can be bought through fairline fiberglass.

I've been contemplating two gu's but might just go 1x centre Navara.

Dare I say it buy what about a 79 series land cruiser item? Also the Colorado scoops look good on a gu but not sure if they would work with a Q.

Dont know how well that would flow air though??

I laugh all the time when I see Hilux owners and Navara owners that have bolted a light bar on top of their Bullbar directly in front of their scoop!! Yeah good luck with that!

Have you tried the tape and wool trick with yours to see how the air flows? You might be surprised.

Have you tried the tape and wool trick with yours to see how the air flows? You might be surprised.

No but have read plenty on it and understand the poor flow. The ARE scoop is higher to catch some more air above the low pressure zone. The WRX Scoop is much higher too.

I reckon that is a Big mouth Open!

Even with those lights mounted above (No longer there) it was still wide open and given as much of a chance as it can to get air flow.

but is your intercooler not at the front anymore?????? Or does having a scoop aid in engine cooling as well as extra wank factor?

Its a guy off the other patrol forum, he grafted the cruiser scoop onto the bonnet, so it's a bloody expensive scoop

hey guys, i have recently purchased a cross country top mount intercooler. and i’m getting a 79 series bonnet scoop custom made, does anyone know the measurement of the cut of the bonnet scoop to centre it to the intercooler? My car is a nissan GQ patrol TD42

I have this 79 series bonnet scoop grafted onto my GQ. Is this of help? I can throw a tape over it provided you tell me what you are looking for specifically8105081051 I am not running a top mount intercooler, the scoop is for clearance on the engine, but does provide some slow speed venting.
