never used one that didn't need a bit of scrubbing..ct18 works just as well.
but if you want a serious clean..try Cyndan U B C Under Bonnet Cleaner...just don't leave it on for very long if you like your alloys :)

Ct14 spray it on and hose off 5 minutes later and so much cheaper than proper wheel cleaners

Warm soapy water and elbow grease. Those wheel cleaners are nasty and just oxidise the crap out of the alloy, even the "non acid" ones.

Just saw my neighbour today use Armour All wheel cleaner on his alloys.
Spray on, let sit, hose off...
Took all the brake dust and road grime right off, made the rims look like new.
I wouldn't have believed it if I hadnt seen it.
I know what I'll be using to clean my rims when I do them...

Did the soapy water and elbow grease thing but getting behind the spokes to get all the brake dust off on my rims is a bastard of a job. Thanks for the tips.

why would you want to clean your rims its a 4by supposed to be dirty
