A guy I was talking to about changing from a wagon to a UTE told me that there is a jump in registration fees, Can anyone confirm this? cheers

Try ringing your local rego place....... Are you talking about modifying your wagon to change into a ute? Or getting rid of the wagon and replacing with a ute?

yes a ute is normally commercial rego but depends on what state you live in

I used to have a sh1tty old Hilux and argued with Citilink in Melbourne over the cost of Tolls. They determined it was a commercial vehicle so I was charged a higher toll to go through the tunnel. I was furious! I Lost the debate!

If the Ute has a 1ton load rating then it could be deemed a commercial vehicle and rego and tolls could be different. Call your local rego branch

all things aside if you live in nsw green slip is about 1000 for some utes

We pay double the price for tolls in the patrol and ranger as they are owned buy our business so have a commercial rego and when we get a fine its 5x the amount but no demerit points unless we nominate a driver
