Hey everyone, this might be a bit difficult to access thorugh the forum but I want to try my luck anyway.

Since couple days the an additional noise is produced when I turn on the airflow. Like the ventilator is scraping accross something. The noise increases with increasing the airflow from 1-2-3-4. The sound is produced with aircon on and off so I figured it isnt the ventilator of the aircon motor. I tried attempted to reach the motor under the glove box compartment based on what I could find from internet layouts. But I cant find any directions of taking the rest apart and just unscrewing some screws didnt bring me much further.

Does anybody have a better idea how to continue from this before I destroy something :p

There are three hex headed screws on the bottom of the fan. Unclip the electrical connector, undo them and the fan should drop out.

It sounds like a leaf is caught in the fan.

While you have it out, it is worth taking the housing out and fixing a screen across the inlet.

I have used a piece of stainless mesh from a leaf eater to stop the stainless fly mesh from sagging.

I drilled a series of some three mm holes around the opening and used small cable ties to attach the screen.

It is also easy to clean the fins of the A/C, while the fan is out.
