Egts rising to high

as it says suddenly today my egts starting rising to fast and to high just slowly getting up to 60 kph egt hit 475 c and just driving in general 350 to 400 and would not idle down under 250. I will in the morning clean the maf, but unless its buggered i cant see dirt doing this this quick

Hey Kevin. Do you have a digital gauge by any chance? Like an Autron one? My Autrons done this to me once. 5 minutes after turning the car on and it was relatively cold, it was saying my EGT's are 500-600C. It's as if it zero-ed it's self at 500C. Needless to say, I s#it bricks. Turning the car off and on, fixed this.
Just a thought.

Check and clean maf also check all vaccum lines and intercooler hoses. What does your boost guage read?

boost is normal no change
